جاء ذلك خلال استقباله وفدا من المجمع العام واتحاد الشرق الأوسط وشمال افريقيا لكنيسة الادفنتست السبتيين الانجيلية ترأسه القس ماجدل ايزير شولز نائب رئيس الكنيسة في العالم، يوم الاثنين الموافق 13 آيار 2024.
وجرى الحديث عن دور الكنيسة في حماية التنوع ورفد المجتمع بثقافة التعايش السلمي، وحفظ الحقوق للمكونات الدينية المتجذرة في تاريخ العراق.
وأكد رئيس الديوان خلال اللقاء، على دعمه الكامل لطائفة الادفنتست في سعيها نحو اعادة افتتاح كنيستها المغلقة منذ سنوات في بغداد.
حضر اللقاء الوكيل الاداري والمالي السيد رعد جبار الخميسي ومدير عام اوقاف المحافظات السيد خليل شمو خديدا.

 Head of the Endowment, Dr. Rami Aghajan, declares, “We will strongly support keeping the doors of churches opened, and encourage the return of those that are closed.”

This came during his reception of a delegation from the General Synod and the Middle East and North Africa Federation of the Evangelical Seventh-day Adventist Church, headed by Pastor Magdel Izer Schulz, Vice President of the Church in the World, on Monday, May 13, 2024.
The two parties talked about the role of the church in protecting diversity, providing society with the culture of peaceful coexistence, and preserving the rights of religious components rooted in Iraq’s history.
During the meeting, the head of the Endowment expressed his full support for the Adventist church in its endeavor to reopen their church, which has been closed for years in Baghdad.
The meeting was attended by the Administrative and Financial Undersecretary, Mr. Raad Jabbar Al-Khamisi, and the Director General of Governorate Endowments, Mr. Khalil Shamo Khedida
